There is more and more people living in the street, their struggle should not be ignored, this is why Anonymous have decided to launch Operation Homeless. The main goal of this operation is to provide them with help throughout the year. Anyone can help on this operation, will it be by giving money to charities, or by going out in the street to provide them with hygiene products, food, clothing, blankets or maybe, just company... A simple act of kindness can change many things for a person.

How can you help? Don't think about the money, you don't need to be rich to help. There are so many things that they lack and we can provide to them, a smile, company, a conversation... Take the time to stop and talk to them, because for many, what they need the most is an understanding person to talk to, to listen to their story. Be compationate, be kind, that only can change someone life. For the food, blankets, clothes, toys for children.. you might have some of those things in your house that you don't need anymore and could be of use for person that are less fortunate than you. You can also ask your local shop keeper for donation, they usually agree on giving some left-over stuff. Set up donations boxes in the stores. Go out with some of your friends, once a week, or once a month to give them some of your time, that alone could change so much things for them.

Unlike what many stereotypes on homelessness would have you believe, a person doesn't choose to be homeless. Try to consider who are those people living in the street, it can be a mother with her children who lost her job and was not able to find a new one, or youth out of fostercare with no where else to go, an elderly man/lady who have no one left to take care of them, a veteran who fought for his country, a disabled, a mentally ill person... It could be someone you love or know, or it could even be you one day. No one is spared in this life, so we should always take any chance we have to do good, in the end, this is only about doing good for the better of our society. Homelessness is an issue that should not exist anymore, yet the number of people in the streets prove us otherwise. It is an issue that we, as an individual and member of this society can end if we work together. We are anonymous, United as one, divided by zero.
